Job boards and aggregators are under threat as Google only wants to show one version of the job.
Google are entering the jobs market; following aggregators such as Indeed, social media platforms such as Facebook with their ‘Jobs’ tab, and Microsoft with their acquisition of LinkedIn.
Google’s aim will be to generate better and more relevant results for candidates, ensure a higher quality user-experience, and to remove duplicate listings of job posts from its results pages.
A regular job search will now show jobs in a custom listing within Google, above the normal search results.
