With a workforce of 180,000 spread right across the UK, Royal Mail needs to ensure its recruitment is utterly cost-effective, and as part of an ongoing corporate change process it is investing in managing and promoting online and web-based recruitment wherever practicable.
Throughout the introduction of their bespoke recruitment software applications, Royal Mail worked with Enhance Media to ensure that all the recruitment teams were fully equipped to take advantage of the new streamlined processes and systems. We were specifically briefed to train recruiters and managers within the recruitment division to improve their knowledge and skills of online recruitment, and especially the creative writing processes.
A series of intense and highly practical in-company seminars were designed and delivered by Enhance Media, focusing on:
- Keywords, job boards, and online search functionality
- Copywriting skills designed for the online environment
- Successfully projecting the transformed corporate brand values
Initial results demonstrate that the recruiters are far more confident in their ability to extract maximum value from the online recruitment process, with an increase in both quality and quantity of response. They are also more productively managing their relationships with their roster of external agencies and recruitment specialists.
"After investing in our online recruitment capability it was essential that we maximised the value of our presence online.
We needed to achieve a purposeful and consistent tone-of voice, while generating the best possible response, and thus secure measurable improvements to our whole recruitment process. The training that you provided was fantastic, and really helped us all focus our efforts on agreed goals.
We are now confident that we have the right attitudes, skills and techniques to exploit the full potential of our online recruitment activity."
