.NORAS is large and established. NORAS started in 2002 and to date has used data gathered from over 67,000 online job seekers. NORAS 2006 uses the largest sample of online job seekers so far – 18,724.
.The results of NORAS allow you to easily compare the users of different job boards and choose to advertise with the site that has the right candidates for you.
.As well as telling you about the users of different job boards, NORAS enables you to understand the general profile of online job seekers in the UK. NORAS 2006 shows that the average online job seeker is aged 34, has 13 years’ work experience, earns over £34,000 and visits over five job boards when looking for a job.
.NORAS also allows you to track trends amongst online job seekers. In 2002 the average online job seeker was aged 32, had 10 years’ work experience and earned under £23,000.
.All job boards featured in NORAS also complete an ABC ELECTRONIC audit verifying the number of monthly Unique Users visiting the site. Job boards that have completed an ABC ELECTRONIC audit have made a commitment to providing advertisers with independent and reliable audience figures.
.NORAS 2006 offers more detail than before on the way that online job seekers apply for jobs that they find online. 43% of online job seekers attached a CV to an email, 28% completed an online application form and only 6% posted a hard copy CV with a covering letter.
.NORAS 2006 also provides more information on the type of jobs that online job seekers are looking for. 64% are looking for a full time permanent position, 27% a temporary or contract full time role and 21% for a part time role (job seekers were able to specify more than one type of job).
.Online job seekers are successful. 75% of online job seekers have applied for a job that they found online, of these 68% obtained an interview and 52% of these got a job as a result of that interview.
