www.alljobsuk.com. All Jobs is a portal that provides information on the online recruitment market to both job seekers and recruiters. The annual awards currently cover nine categories including best general job board, best recruitment consultancy site and best employer site.
Nominations are open to everyone and after nominations are completed a short list is produced for each category. Short listed sites are then judged against predefined criteria by a panel made up of people working in the online recruitment industry. This year's judges were Giles Guest of www.4mat.com, Louise Triance of www.ukrecruiter.co.uk, Phillip McMullan of www.therecruitmentconsultant.co.uk, Don McIntosh from www.vacancyfinder.co.uk, Stephen O'Donnell of www.alljobsuk.com and myself www.enhancemedia.co.uk.

The National Online Recruitment Audience Survey (NORAS) is in its third year and is run by Enhance Media in conjunction with the UK's leading traffic auditors ABC ELECTRONIC www.abce.org.uk and the online research company Red Sheriff www.redsheriff.com. NORAS provides advertisers with independently gathered information on the users of a selection of the UK's leading job boards and enables recruiters to make informed advertising decisions.
NORAS combines two crucial pieces of information to produce comparable audience data - the size of a site's audience which is taken from audited Unique User numbers provided by ABC ELECTRONIC and the profile of a site's audience taken from data gathered using Red Sheriff's pop up technology. Using this data recruiters can assess the audiences of recruitment sites across recruitment criteria (such as role, industry sector, seniority, salary and qualifications) and choose to advertise with the site that provides the right target audience for their particular recruitment need.
Using NORAS to choose your online advertising partner can ensure that you get more response from those candidates you wish to target and reduces the number of irrelevant applications received. NORAS can also show you which sites are willing to provide you with transparent data and this can be a useful indication as to the level of post advertising feedback that you may receive.
The results of the next wave of NORAS will be published in January 2004 and will feature information on 20 of the UK's leading job boards covering sectors such as accountancy, education, engineering, finance, IT, manufacturing, pharmaceutical and secretarial.
